Plymouth Rally.

Twelve SYC yachts gathered together at QAB marina in Plymouth last Friday for the annual Plymouth Rally, the first rally of the season.
We rafted up in a dedicated area designed for rallies and visiting yachts. 
Thirty SYC members had welcome drinks at the Royal Western Yacht Club followed by a delicious fishy meal at Rockfish. 
A group of 11 ramblers and 3 dogs headed off early next morning via ferry to Cawsands
to walk the coast path round Mount Edgecombe, enjoying a picnic on the way.

Others explored Plymouth; fortunately the weather was kind to us all. 
On return we all enjoyed a celebratory 80th birthday tea party alongside Juju for Peter Warings special birthday.

Later we were joined by a number of other SYC members for the pontoon party alongside Marela. We were blessed with dry, clear weather after a rather mixed forecast.

All 35 members then enjoyed an excellent supper at the Royal Western Yacht Club with further birthday toasts to Peter.
On Sunday morning vessels departed recording their times between the Plymouth breakwater and the Mew stone off Bolt Head to await news of the winner. An excellent breeze and fairly smooth seas.
A good time was had by all.
